CBSE Board Exams cancelled for 10th standard and postponed for 12th Standard
14th April 2021: Given the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, The government has decided to cancel the CBSE Board exams for the 10th standard and postpone the 12th standard exams until 30th May. The government officials confirmed the same after the meeting presided over by prime minister Narendra Modi.
According to Pokhriyal Nishank, The Education Minister, CBSE is canceling the exams for class 10th this year. CBSE will promote students according to the internal assessment. The government has postponed the exams of Class 12th till 30th May, He added.
The Board will prepare 10th Class results based on an objective criterion, which the CBSE Board is developing. If the candidate is not satisfied with the marks allocated on this basis, they will be allowed to sit in an exam.
CBSE Board will review the situation and confirm the exam dates for the 12th standard on 1st June. Board will send a 15-day prior notification to the students before the start of the exams.
